Favourite memory of year 8
The best part of year 8 for me would've been athletics , It was a all round fun day socialising with other sweaty try hard's that were participating. The best part of the day would be the sprints and relay . The relay was ran in the terenchal rain the team consisted of Me, Eddie, Aron & Matthew A. Matthew A started off with the baton and ran first when he passed the baton on to me I nearly dropped it but I got a hold of it started going hundies. I caught upto a STC kid by the time it was 60 m then I kept going ahead of him and then passed it onto Eddie then he ran to pass it on to Aron and he went hard . We came 3rd , It was better then last year because we came 5th . We were so wet by the time we came back into the tent were we were all wet and I was in my jacket trying to warm up then I done my 60 m heats . I gathered up with Rusi and Matthew waiting to see what heats we were in I was in heat 3 with other schools . I knew 2 people Kieran Thacker from Chisnallwood and Zion Heitia-Bret from Casebrook we walked upto the line and I zoned in to the finish line and I went hundies and I came first . Then my finals came up 30 mins later and me and Kieran were close in the final so they had to get a photo shoot and I won

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your favourite Year 8 memory with us. It sounds like you had a great time at the Canterbury Athletics day both with your friends from HHS and some friends from the community.
You are a very talented athlete and Mr Hilliard told me that you had an amazing win! I hope you continue to take advantage of sporting opportunities here at school.
