Factual or Satirical

What photos is it using?
What headlines are they sharing?
Do you think it is a Factual website, or a Satirical website?

The new york times - This website looks like it's legit and they are telling all the real news. They are using governmental photos and photos of people doing things . The headlines they are sharing are political moments , beaches , typical everyday things . This website is Factual

The onion - This website looks fake you can tell from the headlines and the photos don't even match with the headline. They are using photos from random pages and making it into a story. They are sharing headlines from sporting , political , government and heaps of other headlines. This website is Satirical

The shovel - The shovdelUsing political photos to make people believe them. They are using all kinds of headlines like isis putting tissues in your washing and all other fake stuff you wouldn't believe. This website if Satirical
The daily mash - They are using photos from google that they search and they will come up so they use them photos. They are using headlines like Phil Twyford spends heaps of money in fortnite and Judith Collins loses all control of host body. This website if Satirical .

Once you have sorted your websites, choose two from the same country- one factual, one satirical- and compare an article on each site. If possible, find an article on the same idea e.g Trumps Wall.

Make a list of 5 things that you could use to check if a website is factual or satirical in future.
