Koru Games - Day 1

In the morning I knew it was my time to shine on the rugby fields .

When I woke up It was like a dream came true to represent our school in the Koru Games .

I grabbed my phone and headphones and put on some xxxtentacion .

I woke up at 4:45 in the morning so I could practice some passes in the morning so I was sharp at

my passing in the morning it was dark so I turned on the spotlight and practised . I was nervous at the time

of the morning but when I went to school the nerves went away . When I got to school I seen Rusi and Cole

so I walked with them into school .

Its 8:06 in the morning and we are waiting to go onto the mini bus . We are at the year 7 block doing passes

and then by the time we knew it there was only 5 minutes till 8:30 then by the time 8:30 rolled around we h

ad finished passing and we were all ready . We went on the mini van because our rugby team had only 10

players and the van fitted 10 people so that was the perfect size for our team . We left and went down aymes

road I was in my zone listening to music in my own world . When we got there we went to the front of the

building and waited till the teams went into the netball courts for the opening .

After the opening we went to do some training as it was only 9:15 our game was at 12:30 so we had to wait

about 3 hours for our first and only game on day 1 of Koru Games . The team we versed were breens they

were big and tall and we knew we were going to lose. When the game started I was ready to vs them

because we versed them in the last tournament and we lost to them both times and they were even better

this time . The game started and we kicked off .

They caught the ball ran at the line then the ruck happened that means you can contest for the ball but you

can’t come in from the side or else it will be a penalty . They scored after that and then they kept on scoring

and then I scored a try so the end score was 35 - 5 and i scored the only try . We felt pretty gutted we lost

our first game but we knew tomorrow we were versing easy teams so it will be easy. After that we just sat

down talked with other schools then at 2:25 we left to come to school in our minivan . I brung my speaker and we listened to music in the minivan

Day 2 Of Koru Games was happening tomorrow so I was pumped and the next day I went tryhard
