Why is the earths core so hot ?
There are three main sources of heat in the deep earth, heat from when the planet formed and accreted, which has not yet been lost frictional heating, caused by denser core material sinking to the center of the planet and heat from the decay of radioactive elements
Who is Alfred Wegner and what did he discover?
In 1912 Alfred Wegener noticed the same thing and told people that the continents were once was a single continent which he called Pangaea which means all land and over time they have drifted apart into their current place.
