Design a Maths game.

In Maths we had a task to do which was to create a game which involved the different ways of saying the equation an example would be another word for plus would be add on. Our game is called Plus Plus Minus or another way for duck duck goose so you go around saying plus plus to you get to any person you can say minus and they have to say a word that has to do with minus.

Next we decided that we would try and make a Maths game about these words . We did some research around games and how we could incorporate those words into them this is our design process for our game.

  1. Hi Michael

I have been looking at some Year 9 blogs to help show some examples of great blogs to my Year 7/8s. I really like the work that you, Rusi and Austin have done. We are doing Maths differently this year and I am working with students from Sh/Bh/Ts/Tz who are all learning the same level. We have been talking about different names for different types of equations. Last term we looked at adding and subtracting and now we are on to multiplying and learning our times tables. This seems like a really fun and engaging warm up or cool down game and it ties in with some of the Maths vocabulary that is important to know.

I think I will try this game with my class once we learn a few more terms. It would be really cool if you guys could come down and show us how to play!
